Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the CIO, the IT Business Systems Analyst partners with the business and is accountable for performing business analysis, development and support duties for the company’s ERP and related systems.

Responsibilities:
Analyzes business processes and procedures, evaluates, and processes business requests and plans, develops, and supports the technologies and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s ERP, other software systems, and ultimately our business and customers.  This includes fielding questions, troubleshooting, overseeing development of new functionality and implementing process-change requests. Additionally, this position will have a major role in the solutioning, design, development, and implementation of a new ERP solution.  Must have experience and expert knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) particularly as related to ERP systems including agile methodologies.

 

KEY DUTIES:

Identifies processes, functionality, fits and gaps in standard ERP functionality.

Develops application requirements by analyzing business processes, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing technical specifications.

Uses development tools to design, test and deploy innovative solutions that address and enhance our unique business environment.

Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions.

Provide ERP process/application support.

Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential; protects data through leading practices in database administration practices and authorization management.

Prepares/develops technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Prepares/develops dashboards, ad hoc and regular reports to meet business and IT needs and generate insights into business questions and issues.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Positions IT as a service center focused on the needs of our internal and external customers.

Support and resolve Help Desk issues for internal customers.

Manage projects or portions of projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
5-7 years relevant experience in an IT based role.

Associate degree is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred in an IT related, or equivalent field, (such as software engineering/development, computer programming or similar). Will consider equivalent strong work experience and skills in evaluation.

Proficiency with web application and client-server development/programming technologies and languages such as .NET, C#, XML, SQL, PowerShell, Rest APIs, webservices, SOAP, ETLs, integrations and other related technologies. 

Strong relational database proficiency is essential.

Experience with batch processing, AS400 environments, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and related technologies highly preferred.

Professional demeanor, strong business acumen with excellent communications and presentation skills.

Self-directed with the ability to lead and work effectively with teams.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities; meet deadlines and works well under pressure. 

Possess an outstanding level of service to internal and external customers.
