Overview:
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a System Administrator II to join our USAF Air Mobility Command Global Decision Support System (GDSS) Functional Help Desk Team. The System Administrator Level II provides intermediate-level support for the organization’s computer systems, including managing system installations, configurations, and performance monitoring. This role involves resolving more complex issues and working independently to ensure that systems operate efficiently and securely. The System Administrator Level II is expected to perform routine system backups and restore services in case of failures. The ideal candidate will have experience working in networked environments with diverse systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Build, configure, and install client and server systems independently.

Ensure that systems comply with security protocols and organizational policies.

Monitor system performance and take proactive steps to resolve identified issues.

Perform system and data backups regularly, ensuring they are tested and viable.

Troubleshoot system errors and application issues, restoring system availability promptly.

Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network and security, to resolve system-wide issues.

Provide technical assistance and support to junior system administrators.

Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance

Minimum of 4 years of experience in system administration or a related IT role.

High School Diploma or College Degree with functional/technical experience and appropriate certifications.

Strong knowledge of system configuration, performance monitoring, and network security policies.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.

Experience with creating system and data backups.

Requires IAT Level I Certification as defined in DODD 8140.01 and AFMAN 17-1303.
