Role Description:

Follow proper change management processes and escalation procedures

Ensure customers receive prompt, accurate and courteous service

Assist in the development of documentation and SOPs for the department

Excellent customer service skills together with experience supporting corporate customers in production environments.

Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.

Essential Skills:

5+ years of working experience working in DevOps.

Requires proven record in DevOps functions and tools used to achieve highly automated Continuous Integration (CI), Deployment (CD) and Testing throughout the products lifecycle.

Experience working with CI/CD tools Jenkins and Ansible. Puppet, Azure and Google Cloud skills are also recommended.

Source code management with GitHub, GitLab & SVN and knowledge of GitHub Actions.

Knowledge of CI/CD JFrog Artifacts.

Proficiency with Artifactory tools such as Jfrog Artifactory, Archiva & Nexus.

Configuration Management: Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management solutions using Puppet Enterprise.

Puppet Automation: Automate system configurations, deployments, and updates to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Monitoring and Compliance: Continuously monitor servers to ensure configurations are as required and compliant with standards.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to configuration management and automation in Puppet Enterprise.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Development: Design, develop, and manage infrastructure using Terraform.

Automation: Automate the provisioning, scaling, and management of infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.

Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure the infrastructure supports the application needs.

Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and best practices.

Proficient in Terraform and associated tools.

Direct experience with webhooks.

Understanding of networking.

Strong understanding of change control methodologies and experience following change processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Application secret management and configuration management using tools like CyberArk.

Knowledge of application containerization using Docker.

Setting of application health checks on tools like New Relic.

Working experience with log monitoring, analytics and observability.

Should have strong analysis and problem-solving ability.

Must have excellent documentation skills, software design, build and test skills.

Excellent organization skills including the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.

Experience in application development and operating environments including Linux/Windows Server, Java, Python, Oracle/SQL Server, Web UI, JBoss/Tomcat/Apache Webserver/Weblogic.

Code Scanning and tools like Snyk and SonarQube

Other Monitoring tools: Centreon/Nagios

Shell scripting

Groovy scripting

REST and SOAP APIs

Knowledge of deploying apps in Java, .NET, PHP, React, NodeJS

Experience with build tools like Maven & Gradle.

Kubernetes AKS or GKE and experience developing operators and custom resources
