Job Requirements / Description
A large client of Marathon TS is seeking a Network Engineer join their dynamic team while having a strong background in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise networks.
Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure solutions.
Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
Monitoring network performance and ensuring system availability and reliability.
Monitoring system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Collaborating with network architects to optimize system performance and design.
Participating in the design of information and operational support systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Secret Clearance
CCNP certification is required
Proven hands-on network engineering experience of 5+ years.
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF)
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
