Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Systems Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Microsoft Windows Server and VMware environments, with a proven ability to execute tasks with limited oversight. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our IT systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
System Installation and Configuration: Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware to meet organizational needs.

User Management: Create, manage, and delete user accounts and permissions to ensure secure access to systems.

System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and availability, ensuring optimal operation and quick resolution of issues.

Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions; ensure data recovery processes are in place and tested regularly.

Security Management: Maintain system security through firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls to protect sensitive data.

Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues; provide technical support to users as needed.

Network Management: Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure connectivity and security.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies to support operational continuity.

Software Updates and Patch Management: Regularly update software and apply security patches to systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance through tuning and resource management to enhance efficiency.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other IT staff and departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Compliance and Auditing: Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations and conduct regular audits to maintain compliance.

Required Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience administering a Microsoft Windows Server and VMware environment.

Technical Proficiency: Fluent in the duties and responsibilities outlined above, with a strong ability to execute tasks independently.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and support users.

Compensation Range Minimum:
USD $85,000.00/Yr.

Compensation Range Maximum:
USD $(phone number removed)/Yr.
