Lead Network Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Network Engineer with a background in Cisco Network Engineering for a great, long term engagement with US Federal Agency based in the Washington, DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as Lead Engineer focused on Cisco technologies related to WLAN controllers, Client, routers, and switches.
Ensure all security policies/GSP/IRM mandates are met/implemented correctly on network devices, best practices are implemented, new technologies deployed to meet agency needs, software levels are maintained, and global configurations are managed and updated.
Will be responsible for ensuring the network is operating within all SLA's as defined by the vendors/and or government agency and take any appropriate actions to ensure all voice, video, and data are transported successfully.
Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting LAN/WAN and Wireless networks.
This will require after-hours on-call support for outages, system updates, etc.
Qualifications:
10 years' experience, with 3 years as a Lead, and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field OR 15+ years of experience with 3 years as a Lead
Extensive experience in one or more of the following: Cisco based Routing, Switching, Unified Communications, Network Monitoring and Security.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
The following certifications are required (and must be active with certification documentation provided): CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Voice, CCNP Data, CCNP Wireless, Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP), Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), Aruba Certified Mobility Expert, Aruba Certified Design Expert
Experience with the following technologies:

Experience in a multi-vendor environment, with the ability to transfer network configurations and concepts from one vendor to another.
Configuration of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and implementation of access control lists in different environments.
DMVPN and other data center-centric configuration experience.
Ability to communicate network solutions to technical and non-technical employees.
AS in an Engineering field or comparable experience.
Homeland Security Requirement -PIV authentication
Cisco ASA (adaptive security appliance)
Working knowledge of remote access for teleworking
Client radius authentication
Remote Access Points (RAPs)
Documentation skills and Visio experience doing network diagramming
AnyConnect experience
PKI familiarity, certificate generation
Experience with Interfaces with Client and Forescout

Experience supporting, designing and integrating complex enterprise-level wireless networks
