Business Systems Analyst – Financial/Accounting
Our client is a dynamic public/private utility looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support their Finance and Accounting teams. This is initially a 6 month contract with possibility to extend. The client would prefer a candidate based in the San Jose, CA area, but will consider fully remote for someone with the right skills and experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Finance/Accounting teams during month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process.
Address financial applications support requests.
Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for system enhancements and customizations.
Perform hands-on configuration in JD Edawards Financials and Supply chain modules (GL, AP, AR, PO, INV) and work with client stakeholders to ensure configurations are in alignment with business requirements.
Ensure internal control compliance across finance systems/applications including access/change management to support the annual internal/external audits.
Understand and analyze business processes, requirements, and challenges, and translate them into system solutions using JD Edwards, Power Plant, and other applications in our ecosystem.
Lead assessment, of finance and supply chain automation projects addressing business requirements and business pain points.
Partner with PMO and other business stakeholders to execute all phases of the implementation and/or development lifecycle – requirements, analysis, design, implementation, development, testing, and deployment.
Provide functional support and design on development of custom solutions across Reports, Integrations, Conversions, and Extensions.
Work with external vendors and consultants as needed for system integrations or specialized projects.
