The library is seeking a Web Developer to work in its Web Applications Group, one of the five groups within the Office Information Technology (IT). Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of IT, the Developer will play a key role in the development of new web applications and sites. The Developer works closely with the other members of the Web Applications team in order to carry out her/his responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop, design, test, maintain, and support front-end web development
Troubleshoot and debug the website as needed
Represent IT at various BPL committee meetings
Work collaboratively with clients to better understand and refine requirements
Other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications:
2 years successful professional experience developing front-end dynamic web applications
Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript is desirable
Extensive experience with cross-platform/browser development
Familiarity with graphic production software (Photoshop)
Ability to work with others and work well as a team player
UX Design expérience a plus
Experience using Drupal and programming in PHP a plus
Understanding of website accessibility guidelines a plus
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field a plus
