Position: Technical Business Analyst- fully remote, contract

Overview:

This is a hands-on role that offers the chance to tackle complex business, data, and technical challenges. The Business Analyst will be a key member of the technology team, responsible for understanding, defining, and documenting business processes and requirements related to lending decisions. This role requires familiarity with the entire loan application process, from origination to approval or denial, along with the associated data.

Responsibilities:

Document Business Processes: Work with product managers and business partners to document business process intentions and outcomes, resulting in comprehensive process and data mapping documents.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure process flows and integrations meet business needs and align with the current and target state architecture.

Design Data Contracts: Analyze existing data elements to design and enhance data contracts that support system integrations and functional tests.

Research and Resolve Issues: Conduct research and provide problem resolution accurately and promptly.

Technical Documentation: Create technical documentation for system interfaces.

Agile Development: Participate in an agile, rapid development, and prototyping environment.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience: At least seven years of professional experience.

Analytical Experience: At least five years as a business or technical analyst and/or development experience with Agile engineering practices such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.

System Integrations: Strong understanding of system integrations.

Industry Knowledge: Proven experience with projects and a solid understanding of data structures in two or more of the following areas: banking, lending, financial services, credit bureau data, credit application processing, and credit decisioning.

Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to develop and diagram existing business/system activities for process improvement.

Platform Testing and Defect Research: Skilled in platform testing, researching defects, and proactively identifying potential issues.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.

Continuous Learning and Improvement: A passion for continuous learning and improvement is essential.

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a technology-related field such as Computer Science, MIS, Software Development, or a related discipline.
