Role: IT Business Application Specialist Billing System
Location: Oakland, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months (possible CTH)
Job Overview: Seeking an innovative and resourceful IT Business Application Specialist to support the Behavioral Health Department's billing system and associated applications. The role involves working independently and with teams to implement, administer, and maintain applications, while also providing end-user support, troubleshooting, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance applications based on regulatory and business needs.
Monitor application functionality for compliance and workflow efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with Business Analysts.
Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Act as a liaison between business units, operations, and technical teams.
Manage change requests and ensure timely completion of system enhancements.
Develop and conduct user training for new applications or updates.
Create and maintain technical documentation and workflow processes.
Assist in testing and user acceptance of application changes.
Support quality improvement initiatives within IT and the business.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (or 2 years of IT-related experience).
At least 1 year of professional IT experience.
Experience with EHR, healthcare billing, or accounts payable applications preferred.
