Detroit Labs is looking for experienced Technical Architects with AI expertise to join an exciting project with an existing client that drives game-changing automotive technology. This role will work on connected vehicle services for customers owning vehicles with connected capabilities across the USA and Canada. These systems consist of several backend, frontend, and middleware applications. The systems integrate with the connectivity units inside the vehicle, and enable features like the ability to remotely start the vehicle, view parking locations, Alexa voice commands, and many more. This is a full-time salaried hybrid role located in Auburn Hills, MI. You must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in AI/Machine Learning architecture with at least 5 years of experience in chatbot development

Strong experience with Google Cloud AI Platform, Dialogflow, Cloud Natural Language API, Cloud Translation API, and TensorFlow

Demonstrated success in designing and implementing intelligent chatbot solutions

Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, and integrating AI solutions with various data sources and APIs

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and experience with AWS or Azure

In-depth understanding of natural language processing (NLP), natural language understanding (NLU), and machine learning algorithms

Knowledge of MLOps practices, data privacy regulations, and secure AI implementation

Experience with speech recognition, text-to-speech technologies, conversational AI design, knowledge graphs, semantic web concepts, and reinforcement learning for chatbot optimization

Detroit Labs is not currently able to hire candidates who will reside outside of the United States during their term of employment

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of AI/ML solutions, focusing on chatbot development using Google’s AI products

Develop advanced chatbots that integrate with approved data sources to deliver accurate and relevant customer information

Design and implement NLP and NLU systems to improve chatbot interactions

Architect secure, scalable solutions for deploying AI models and chatbots in production environments

Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to align AI solutions with business goals

Evaluate and integrate data sources to ensure chatbots effectively utilize approved company information

Implement personalization and context-aware features to enhance chatbot user experience

Develop strategies for ongoing chatbot performance improvement using machine learning and user feedback

Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies in all AI/ML implementations

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the AI/ML development team

Work a hybrid work schedule, coming into the Auburn hills office a minimum of three days per week

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience
