POSITION SUMMARY:   

Under limited supervision, the IT Operations Business Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT operational processes, ensuring effective budget management, forecasting, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Employees in this job class will be responsible for developing and managing IT budgets, collaborating with vendors and overseeing the lifecycle of software and hardware assets while identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency. This job class requires knowledge of IT operations, budget management and forecasting with business analysis and resource allocation. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:  

1. *Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and optimizing resource allocation.2. *Utilize forecasting techniques to anticipate IT operational needs and support strategic planning.3. *Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and products.4. *Evaluate vendor performance and maintain positive vendor relationships.5. *Act as a liaison between the IT department and external vendors, fostering strong and mutually beneficial partnerships.6. *Generate and manage purchase orders for IT-related products and services.7. *Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.8. *Oversee the lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, deployment, and license management.9. *Manage hardware assets, tracking inventory, and optimizing resource utilization, publish schedule of lifecycle upgrades.10. *Conduct analysis of wireless technologies, publish schedule of lifecycle upgrades, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.11. *Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions for IT services.12. *Monitor contract expiration dates and initiate timely renewals or negotiations.13. *Organize and facilitate IT operational meetings to discuss key initiatives, challenges, and strategies.14. *Implement strategies to track and minimize costs, identifying opportunities for cost avoidance.15. *Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of IT operational processes and procedures.16. *Responsible to follow the PRIDE IIPP, policies and procedures, including wearing and maintaining the proper personal protective equipment (PPE), completing the appropriate training, recognizing, correcting, and reporting hazards.17. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. * Denotes Essential Job Function 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Three or more years of experience in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field, and working within multiple business lines;• Proven experience in IT operations and business analysis;• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;• Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis;• Familiarity with software and hardware asset management;• Negotiation skills and experience in contract management;• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelors Business Administration or related field
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

?Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

Work is performed in an office/home office environment a majority of the time. This position requires three days per week on site, with an option to work remotely two days per week.
