Job Description
The Data Centers Storage Administrator is responsible for managing Expeditors essential storage and backup infrastructure. This infrastructure provides Expeditors the global connectivity, compute power, backups and storage to meet its growing demand to move freight. The Storage Administrator is responsible for the support, troubleshooting, installation, and deployment of Storage and Backups based systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a collaborative member of a highly motivated and agile team
Install, configure and manage all block (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) (Dell PowerStore, Cohesity, Pure Storage Arrays, Hitachi Storage Arrays)
Provides production support for arrays and fiber channel switches
Diagnose and isolate array, fiber channel switching, and application-related problems
Perform hardware maintenance, repairs, & replacements
Ensure backup infrastructure is online and available
Function as a subject matter expert for Storage and Backup related questions for other groups within Expeditors
Provide recommendations to management through research and review of recent industry solutions in various Storage related technologies
Create documentation and training material; provide training to others
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
