Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Systems Network Engineer (UAS) to join our team in Grand Forks, SD. You will provide technical advice and assistance on the development of an Operations Center supporting UAS Traffic Management (UTM) operations.

Responsibilities:
As an Systems Network Engineer (UAS) with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) you must have experience managing data networks so you can provide technical advice and assistance on the development of an Operations Center supporting UAS Traffic Management (UTM) operations. This position will be located in the Grand Forks, SD area.
Your essential job functions will include but will not be limited to:
The integration and display of a comprehensive airspace picture, which integrates feeds from multiple sensors including, but not limited to:
FAA Air Traffic Control Radars (both primary and secondary radar)
Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B)
Acoustic Sensor systems
Weather monitoring systems
The development of effective protocols and interface specifications to enable the effective flow of air traffic information and control constraints between this regional Operations Center and multiple local UAS Service Suppliers (USS) connected directly to operational UAS systems.
The development of physical and cyber-security requirements associated with the Operations Center and the data networks connected to it.
The physical layout of the Operations Center to include recommended locations of workstations, servers, information displays, and communications systems, along with the network diagram recommending protocols and interfaces to efficiently and effectively connect these internal devices.
The ability to collaboratively work with an existing team of UAS and UTM subject matter experts, UTM software engineers, Modeling and Simulation engineers, and UAS operators from other companies, in order to accomplish project objectives.
Qualifications:
8+ years' of experience managing data networks for the development of an Operations Center supporting UAS Traffic Management (UTM) operations.
You must be able to operate independently and exercise the personal initiative needed to effectively integrate into the existing team of system developers, while coordinating with external MTSI engineers and subject matter experts to bring in specialized capabilities the current team lacks.
Qualifications Desired:
UAS Traffic Management (UTM) operations experience.
UAS Operations experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
Clearance Requirements:
Top Secret/SCI.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
