State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$89,906 to $170,421 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$81,733 to $154,928 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$73,560 to $139,435 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, SE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

 

Position Summary:
-Quality Assurance Team Lead (QA Team Lead) is an expert level position, with the responsibility for leadership of a team’s QA activities and interacting directly with management and project teams to facilitate effective execution of these activities. This role undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Communicates common goal and direction for the team. Allocates workload to project teams and gives guidance on project completion activities. Works with business analysts to evaluate software development procedures and facilitate adherence to Internal Audit and SOX compliance. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software and ensure a positive customer experience. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Performs work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Manages/develops test strategies, test plans and testcases for application testing. Manages test execution effort including test case development per established test plans, problems/defects documentation in a defect tracking application, and software retesting effort to ensure problems are resolved.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
-Manages/develops comprehensive test plans from functional requirements and design specifications for medium to large scale projects. Provides leadership and work guidance on specific projects and resource management for team members. Manages activities to develop manual and/or SOA test cases in black/grey box environments that can be transitioned to automated scripts after successful manual execution of functional/regression and system tests
-Actively participates in requirements and design review meetings
-Ensures problems arising from troubleshooting efforts are isolated and documented to facilitate problem resolution
-Ensures team documents test execution results in specified tracking tool
-Researches and communicates to senior QA management the latest information on software test process improvements

Qualifications:
Education:
-Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
-CTFL is required.
-CSTE and/or CTAL preferred.

Experience:
-6+ years of experience in test execution of software projects or equivalent combination of education/experience
-Work experience with defect tracking applications such as JIRA, HP Quality Center, HP ALM is required.
-Work experience troubleshooting Commercial Software is required.
-2+ years team lead experience or team lead training.
