PRODUCT DESIGN & USER INTERFACE / ASSOCIATE OR PATENT AGENT
Direct Counsel is partnered with an AMLaw100 firm who is seeking junior to mid-level associate or mid-level patent agent to join their Product Design & User Interface Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to all firm offices, with a preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis.
Qualifications:
Must possess a high level of academic achievement,
Solid law firm experience
Engineering and industry experience
Superb writing and communication skills.
Ideally 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience and
BS Degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science.
Preferred experience: software related technologies; and/or ii. Artificial intelligence related technologies; and/or iii. IOT, networking, and related technologies; and/or iv. Quantum technologies.
JD and admission to the USPTO required for associate candidates.
USPTO admission required for patent agent candidates.
A cover letter, resume, law school and undergraduate (graduate when applicable) transcripts and writing sample (preferred patent application) are required for consideration
Compensation and Benefits:
For Associates: $240,000-$290,000 depending on experience.
For Patent Agents: $110,000-$190,000 depending on experience.
A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
