Location: Hybrid in Santa CLara, CA; 3 days onsite/2 days WFH
Duration: 1 year initially
Manager Updates:
Excel Modeling with Supply Chain Data (supply chain is a plus – not required. Please start with SUPPLY CHAIN/Demand Planning/MFG)
VLOOKUPS/Pivot tables + Modeling/ automation / Scripting
SQL coding and able to pull from tableau this is a plus for us.
3-5 years exp.
Proficient with Excel who can build Excel models.
Open to industry as long as they have supply chain management.
2 rounds of interviews.
My team supports end to end planning from sales and ops, demand planning / forecasting, supply planning. Service depot planning we own this as well. Forecasting for all our hardware products, build plan for manufacturers to ensure we have enough supply. Inventory, we have liabilities with suppliers for most part our manufacturer flex owns the inventory. Inventory reporting is around the agreements we have with our manufacturers.
We used to use Anaplan for our planning solution, end to end. PAN could not extend contract with Anaplan. No planning solution or automation around processes, need 3 ppl to come in and act as fillers. First, building out Excel models. We are re-starting from ground up. Automate things in Excel for us. As we go into a new tool we want this Excel person to continue maintaining models which is why this is a year long.
Excel Modeler title. V look ups is not the expertise we are looking at. We want someone who can truly automate in Excel. VB Scripting you can automate / model in Excel, various ways to do this.
Supply chain planning is what we’d like to see.
Once we have the new tool these roles would end, could be longer than 1 year. FTE potential? If we find a rockstar we can try our best, no headcount for this at the moment.
9-5 hours, we are flexible though my team has a lot of young moms with children. Do not expect OT.
Duties: 1st phase: Building up Excel models, automating planning processes in Excel. 2nd phase : try to run and keep business going after automation. Excel is the #1 skill. I’d really want to try to find the supply planning, although if I have to I can train.
Strong analytical skills, very strong Excel, Supply Chain.
SQL coding and able to pull from tableau this is a plus for us.
Tableau is a nice to have. Excel is the prime focus.
Cyber security BG? No preference to have this.
7 years exp okay? If they fit within the rate, I said 3-5 because I thought that fit within the rate.
We will provide a small Excel test. Will give a case study one day ahead. Everyone can do look ups but I want to see creativity.
If we find someone who is a rockstar with Excel and less than 3 years exp I can look at them and give them a shot

Assist in the creation of S&OP meeting materials, including data analysis.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases (GCP).
Integrate SQL data with Excel models and Tableau to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting.
Assist in the maintenance and improvement of SQL databases to support business needs.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various reporting tools and platforms.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build excel models that can support the business.
Document processes and logic behind automation.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and VBA.
Ability to write SQL Queries
Abilty to consume and analyse large sets of data
Understanding of Supply Chain Planning is a plus
Excellent Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
Strong Communication SKills and should be able to collaborate with multiple teams
Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting models
