POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Manager IT Infrastructure is responsible for the, planning, organization, and support of all activities related to IT infrastructure, computing, networking and storage platforms. The SR. . Manager will leverage internal resources as well as external service providers and must have experience delivering in this type of environment. This role will work closely with various business partners to design and deliver solutions to enable and drive the business and serve as a primary partner to various internal IT business units. The right candidate will have experience with technology transformation, large scale program management and budget management. Finally, this role will need to be highly skilled in communication, management and team building while possessing a Point of View regarding their areas of responsibility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Assume overall responsibility for the quality of production activities including Availability, Scheduling, Applications, Problem Reporting and Trending, Capacity Planning, Configuration Management and Disaster Recovery as they apply to Operational Functions
" Partner with the external service providers AND cross-functional teams across the enterprise to support company initiatives and priorities
" Assume responsibility for budget preparation and overall financial management of functional area
" Determine processes and procedures to monitor systems to pre-empt system failures or degradation and take remedial action before the system fails
" Be a trusted advisor with Business Partners to ensure alignment on priority and timing of deliverables to drive business objectives
" Develop and maintain architectural and operational policies and procedures, including team training curriculums
" Ensures that all production go-live projects are conducted in compliance with General Nutrition's standard methodologies and procedures including a production handoff of support
" Develop and Manage budget that ensures SLA's are met while being fiscally responsible to the department and organization and keep all groups informed of production outages
" Works proactively with executive management to ensure activities with the highest financial and strategic return are pursued
" Additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Responsible for supervising multiple teams
" Responsible for supervising multiple projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
" Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
" Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
" 10+ years progressive experience in the IT business unit(s), preferably within Infrastructure or Architecture
" 8+ years in a leadership role with demonstrated experience building teams and delivering on stated goals
" Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred
" Technical knowledge and experience with computing platforms and managing those technologies servers, high availability, backup/recovery, operating systems, anti-malware, patching, e-mail, and associated security
" Experience with Client servers, Windows, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, Citrix, WSUS, Symantec Antivirus, Lync, Dell/SonicWall/Aventail, VMWare, Unix, iSeries, Linux, SQL Server, Oracle, NetBackup, security certificates, and system monitoring tools is desired
" Familiar with SDLC methodologies
" Experience in managing external Service Providers with success to achieve stated goals
" High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
" Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
" Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
" Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
" Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
" Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
" Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
" Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
