Position Description :

As a SharePoint Content Manager and Web Developer, you will support multiple offices in the Department of the Navy (DON and the OPNAV Staff) providing SharePoint content management and website development, maintaining external facing site for knowledge sharing with other DON activities, (including SharePoint, MILSUITE, MS Teams, or similar systems).
ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
You must live in the national capital region (NCR) and be available to commit to work onsite at the Pentagon two (2) days per week; three (3) days per week are remote work.
In this role you will:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the available knowledge management platforms in the Department of the Navy (DON) and OPNAV (e.g., Flankspeed, MSFT SharePoint)
Provide recommendations for knowledge management processes.
Identify legacy information for migration into one knowledge management (KM) platform
Provide presentations on the KM platform and be available to provide additional training and Q&A sessions.
Revamp external facing websites by researching other external facing websites in the DON and websites in the DoD and federal government that are focused on performance management and performance improvement
Meet with appropriate Navy and DoD leads and other stakeholders to align on the purpose, scope of information wanted, and access limitations (e.g., CAC-enabled) on the website.
Conduct quarterly review and update of the website as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this roll, you will have:
An active SECRET security clearance.
A Bachelor’s degree (4 years’ additional experience substitutes for a bachelor’s degree).
5+ years of working experience.
Experience in SharePoint content management.
Knowledge of the Navy and DON organization.
Experience supporting military customers.
Ability to produce briefing slides, metric charts, program schedules, and organizational charts.
Proficient in SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, & Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
10% travel required.
Additional desired experience and skills:
SharePoint Content Manager certifications.
Support staff experience at DoN, OPNAV, NAVSEA, Program Executive Offices (PEOs)/Program Offices, or other Pentagon Offices.
Experience includes regular interactions with staff and senior leadership internal and external to affiliated organization.
