Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Alpharetta, GA(onsite)
12 months+ Project
Key Responsibilities:
Testbed Development: Design and develop automation testbeds for back-end applications, ensuring they are capable of validating platform capabilities.
Test Execution: Execute automated and functional tests, ensuring comprehensive coverage of system functionalities.
Script Development: Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, SQL, and other relevant languages.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the testing lifecycle, and implement automation to enhance efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with development and QA teams to understand requirements, develop test plans, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Documentation: Document test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring clear communication of testing activities and outcomes.
Customer Focus: Ensure testing is aligned with customer needs and perspectives, prioritizing user experience and satisfaction.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Overall Testing Experience: 8+ years of combined experience in automation and functional testing, with a focus on broadband or mobility network interfacing systems.
Automation Testbed Development: 6+ years of experience in building automation testbeds for back-end applications, particularly those involving broadband CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) and network interactions.
Platform Validation: 4+ years of experience in creating and using automation testbeds from scratch to validate platform capabilities.
Programming and Tools: 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and other NoSQL query languages, as well as tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and ETL processes.
Required Skills:
Automation Expertise: Extensive experience in developing automated test scripts and test environments for complex systems.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python programming and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Testing Frameworks: Knowledge of Selenium, Cucumber, and ETL processes for comprehensive test automation.
Independent Work: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative.
Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented approach to testing, ensuring a thorough focus on quality from a customer perspective.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
