Located on more than 40 acres and employing more than 600 employees, Piping Technology manufacturers pipe supports, expansion joints, pre-insulated pipe shoes and more. The company has begun a leadership transition and as a part of this transition, it is increasing its investment in technology.
The IT Support Specialist position will provide technical support to end-users and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
Job Responsibilities
Provide a good user experience in their use of company IT services and devices
Resolve hardware, software and network issues that arise in a timely manner
Set up, maintain, and upgrade company computers, printers, mobile devices for users as needed
Promptly resolve and close tickets in the helpdesk ticket tracking system
Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and inventory
Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills
Amazing written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze technical problems and provide effective solution
Willingness to be hands on with the equipment
Good instincts for what comprises a great user experience
Ability to be self-motivated in prioritizing and completing tasks
Has the technical understanding to resolve network issues (LAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewall rules, etc.)
Able to troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Mac operating system issues
Standard work hours are 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri, 8am to 12pm Sat.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
2 years of industry experience is preferred
A+ Certification preferred, but not required
Google Workspace experience preferred, but not required
Experience with ticketing systems for issue tracking preferred, but not required
