Must have skills: PowerEdge, server troubleshooting, Power and power cords/PDUs and cable management, parts replacement on existing Dell Servers, replacing, retention and processing of failed hard drives/SSD/NVMe's from Dell Servers, perform firmware updates

1. Power and power cords/PDUs and cable management are also part of Client's current responsibilities. Once racked, Client will power the server on and login to the iDRAC.

2. Resident to assist with server troubleshooting for servers located in IPC2 or future data center annex.

3. Perform parts replacement on existing Dell Servers installed in the IPC2 data centers. Though Dell Resident CEs will have access to the customer data center, they are generally accompanied by a RFIT engineer into the data center area for RFC work. There are times in the customer lab area when an RFC and scheduled downtime will not be necessary.

4. Role in replacing, retention and processing of failed hard drives/SSD/NVMe's from Dell Servers in customer data center. All Dell servers purchased by customer have a "Keep Your Hard Drive (KYHD) as part of the support contract (which means failed hard drives/SSD/NVMe's are not returned to Dell and are retained and destroyed by customer.

5. Perform firmware updates (as necessary) to replacement server disks, SSDs and NVMe's. Resident CE to provide firmware updates (when necessary) for drives, SSDs and NVMe's that arrive from Dell Support to replace failed components. Many times those drives, SSDs and NVMe's arrive with firmware inconsistent with what is needed for a particular server(s). Resident will work with RFIT and TIMS team to determine the drive firmware required for a specific server. Resident has a Dell T440 tower server in the data center area in which the proper firmware can burned and loaded onto the drive, SSD or NVMe before being inserted into server.

6. Act as buffer between customer and Dell Support when server issues arise, especially if/when Dell requires customer to gather TSR logs, troubleshoot or get on a WebEx with Dell Support. This buffer by the Dell Resident CE is very important, as it lowers the demands on the customer RFIT server operations teams. The outcome of all this is increased customer satisfaction.

7. Will have "view access to customers ServiceNow. Dell Resident CE is expected to monitor ServiceNow from time to time so they will be aware of upcoming Dell server related RFC as referenced in ServiceNow.

8. From time to time, Resident may be asked to assist customer with the reconfiguration or field installation of various components into servers (ie: memory, disk, SSDs, NVMe's GPUs, FPUs, PERCs, BOSS cards, etc).

9. Will be asked to participate in regular Service Delivery Review meetings with the customer, as conducted by Dell SAM and Dell Support Customer Technical Lead (CTL).
