Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking an experienced NOC Technician to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's United States Coat Guard Integrated Managed Services (IMS) program.
This position is located on site in Kearneysville, West Virginia.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
Monitors critical network elements and applications using various network monitoring systems in a 7X24X365 Network Operations Center (NOC).
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains telecommunications networks in a NOC environment.
Tests new and already installed hardware and software.
Uses computerized network management systems to check for system alarms when parts of the network are not working properly and jeopardizing the level of communication services available to customers.
Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot and escalate issues.
May work second and third shift work and overtime in the event of network outages.
Interface with customer senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
High School and 3 years of experience
Must be a U.S Citizen and have an active secret clearance
Experience working in a data center environment
Experience using Remedy software (or similar tool) to track incidents and service requests through the full lifecycle.
Familiarity with DOD IT security requirements.
Security + certification (not required to start but expected to obtain in first six months)
ITIL 4 Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to obtain in first six months)
Must have the ability to work shift work.

Target Salary Range:
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
