Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, maintain and test software for the ECR RCF team

Collaborate with the development team and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in a dynamic Agile environment

Handle multiple tasks, lead the team through the delivery and adapt to a constantly changing environment

Project delivery in an Agile environment

Performance tuning and database refactoring strategies

Develop and support Enterprise Credit Risk ETL platform

Develop unit / integration / regression / performance test scripts/ test suites for the framework

Follow Agile development process (work refinement, estimation, retrospectives, etc. rituals)

Interface with users and other team members, understand requirements and engineer and analyze solution options

Communicate solutions effectively to team / teams and play a mentor role for junior resources

Engage Architecture team as needed during development and support

Participate in POCs (evaluate tools and technologies as needed)

Learn quickly and work with minimal supervision

Requirements:

5+ years of Java application programming experience

3+ years technology architecture experience

Strong data base skills working on Oracle/SQL Server/Exadata, performance tuning, ETL processes, Windows and Linux environments

Excellent software design, build, test and documentation skills

Excellent organization and team skills

Ability to achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications is needed
