Job Requirements / Description
MBA CSi is seeking a Software Tester with Software Development Skills to provide support to our customer, the United States Postal Service Software Engineering's Software Process Management team. Those interested will be tasked with supporting the group's internal mission. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for software quality and a sophisticated understanding and appreciation of the SDLC and associated processes.
Essential Functions:
Software development skills in modern coding (java, SQL scripting, PowerBI).
Knowledge of DevSecOps applications, preferably DevSecOps with Jenkins.
Familiarity with Code Quality Tool & Secure Analysis or Continuous Inspection (SonarQube, etc.).
Create data and software test plans and test cases.
Execution of software, data testing, and promotion procedures for quality assurance, stage, and production environments.
Ensure all applicable business rules are satisfied.
Identify, analyze and report defects – povide evidence artifacts.
Verify resolution of software and specification defects.
Perform quality assurance and quality control tasks.
Maintenance of a library for standard data files regression testing.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Perform a variety of complicated tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science from US Accredited college or university.
2 to 5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
Experience using MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, and Access) and specialized software programs.
Additional Requirements:
Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periods.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test.
