Job title: z/OS Systems Programmer

Location: Hybrid (5 Manhattan West, NYC)

Duration: 24+ Months

FISA-OPA has a vacancy for a z/OS Systems Programmer whose primary responsibility will include:

" Ongoing maintenance (install, patching, upgrades, administration, etc.,) of the mainframe z/OS operating system, accompanying storage systems and systems software products (e.g., database, transaction server, security management, scheduling, report distribution, etc.), and UNIX Systems Services.

" Upgrades of mainframe and related storage.

" The candidate will be required to provide production off hour coverage (if necessary) and support periodic weekend implementations.

Experience / Preferred Qualifications:

" The candidate must have experience with VTAM and TCP/IP.

" 10+ years of experience working with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOCP/HCD. Basic IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEFBR14, etc.) program product installations, working knowledge or the IBM virtual tape system and Unix System Services.

" Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2 and AFP printing is a plus.

" Experience in using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON.

" Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementation.

" Excellent communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.

" The candidate must have experience with mainframe CPU installs as a systems programmer consultant.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in relevant technical field is required.
