We are currently hiring an Oracle DB Administrator in our Program Management Services division at our client’s Augusta, ME office (hybrid work week - 3 days in office with a possibility of full time in office). The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
The Oracle DBA will:
Oracle RDBMS administration in Oracle 19c and ASM (Oracle Automated Storage manager)
Manage Oracle Data guard and RMAN for Backup and restore
Provide database support for the AVANGRID’s Outage Management System (OMS) and other proprietary applications.
Support systems development & testing of functional requirements of the Outage Management System (OMS) and Focal Point Application.
Proactively monitor and maintain all database (Oracle & SQL Server) and application systems in for an uninterrupted service.
Document all database system designs, maintenance, and enhancement work.

Responsibilities
Strong background in Oracle database Administration preferably Oracle 19c, and Oracle 11g.
Strong background in Administering Oracle Real Application Cluster.
Strong background in database programming, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Materialized views, Triggers, using Database Change Notification.
Strong background in the use of database utilities like Oracle data pump, RMAN, Oracle Imp/Exp and/or SQL*Loader.
Strong background on Operating Systems (OS) such as RedHat Enterprise Linux and Windows Servers.
Good knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server 2019, 2016 is a plus.
Good knowledge in SQL Server clustering and Always On is a plus.
Be on call on an on-call roster for database and systems support activity.
Knowledge of Focal Point application and/or AutoSys scheduling tool is a plus.
Good Knowledge/Understanding of Network communication and services.
Knowledge of at least one of the following is desirable: Shell Scripting, Python, C, Java Script, VB
Additional Skills: General Knowledge & Skills
Working with the understanding of relevant Industry Compliance Regulations and Policies. (E.g. NERC-CIP, etc. training will be provided)
The ability to demonstrate good communication skills both written and orally. Experience to make sound decisions while working in a high-pressure environment outside normal working hours.
Working during storm or other emergency conditions for 24-hour system support.
Able to work independently and contribute proactively to drive results.
Prior experience in working with Electric Utilities is an advantage.

5-10+ years’ technically related experience
Associate’s Degree with 7+ year’s technical experience
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years technical experience
