Title: Senior Linux System Administrator
Location: Durham, NC (Hybrid)

Job Description :
The primary role is to install and configure the Linux operating system as well as manage and maintain Linux-based systems on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. The position will be responsible for System maintenance by reviewing error logs, system backups, monitoring system performance to prevent slowdowns and disruptions, License deployments and setup, setting up a Linux Satellite server and deployment manager, and providing any needed technical support. The position will also help with the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and more. This position will provide hands-on technical support for system security monitoring and optimizing the performance of these systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise. Additionally, this resource may be responsible for managing and maintaining other related technologies such as DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM). Strong knowledge of Linux administration, AWS, and networking are required for this role. This position is required to be on call for evenings and weekends to meet business needs..
Required/Desired Skills
Strong experience with Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux: RHEL
Strong Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting Linux systems and applications
Experience with Linux OS Patch (including taking snapshots of instances before applying updates), upgrade
Strong experience with Image Management using Redhat Imag
Proficient with network tools such as Firewall, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc
Experience in installing configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, nginx, MYsql etc
Strong experience with Cookie Security, Web Browser Security, Server side encryptions, Data Encryption at Rest and Key management
Hands-on experience in performance monitoring enablement to manage the Scaling up and down of the environments
Strong scripting skills, specifically in Bash or Python
Experience in user account management for large organization
Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, SSM and EBS
Good understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and routing
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Cloudformation, Puppet, or Che
Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage
