Job Requirements / Description
Overview:
Are you a recent college graduate ready to kickstart your career in IT with the proper training and opportunity? Can you balance immediate tasks with a patient, systematic approach?

Encore Fire Protection, an industry-leading, full-service fire protection company, serves the Northeast region from Maine to Pennsylvania, with over 30,000 customers and over 1,500 team members. Our mission is to save lives and protect property through innovative fire suppression, sprinkler, and alarm solutions. We are passionate about what we do and seek equally passionate individuals to join our rapidly growing team.

As an IT Technician, you'll be the go-to person for setting up new team member technology, providing essential technology support, maintaining hardware inventory, and collaborating with other team members for seamless technology integration. From setting up systems to shipping technology, you'll play a crucial role in our company. A Technician, by definition, is someone highly skilled in the technology field, and at Encore, we're committed to finding and training the right person to achieve that level of expertise. If you're tech-savvy, proactive, and ready to dive into a supportive and exciting environment, this is the perfect opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll need a foundation and genuine passion for technology and helping others. You will work with various devices, applications, and business systems daily, so a knack for technology is essential. Here’s what you can expect:

Set up new hire accounts, ensure they have access to necessary systems, and assist with initial technology setup.

Prepare, configure, and ship hardware (laptops, phones, etc.) to new hires and current employees as needed.

Provide first-line support for any IT-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and offering solutions promptly.

Assist with software updates, network configuration, and routine maintenance to ensure smooth operation.

Work closely with HR and other departments to facilitate seamless onboarding and technology integration.

Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, system configurations, and support tickets.

What You'll Need to Do It:

This IT Technician position may be entry-level, but we’d encourage anyone applying to see this as an entry point into an organization that genuinely values ambition and rewards hard work. The only limits are the ones you set for yourself. Here’s what we’re looking for:

1-2 years of experience in an IT/Help Desk or equivalent environment.

Knowledge of PC and mobile devices, Microsoft Suite, Google and Apple applications, and IT ticketing systems.

Excellent customer service skills and a proven ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot technical issues.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong computing, analytical, and organizational skills.

Willingness to work in and support a fast-paced, ever-changing organization and get the job done.

What We Offer:

At Encore, we are hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth – but we also believe that not all rewards are monetary.

Here are just a few of the perks that a successful individual in this position can expect:

Competitive salary based on experience with opportunities for a results-driven bonus.

A work culture focused on purpose and results—work smarter, not harder.

We believe in dressing for the occasion. Jeans are our go-to most days, but occasionally we wear suits – as long as you know which situations require which (or aren’t afraid to ask), you'll be good to go!

Speaking of attire – we provide all employees with Encore gear when they join the team!

Freedom to express and implement new ideas. We embrace change and will support you in testing, enhancing, and improving processes to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Access to cutting-edge web-based productivity tools.

Participation in our Fidelity 401(K) plan with employer matching.

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000.
