Job Requirements / Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for building and maintaining proprietary client software
Work side by side with product owners, program managers, and architects across multiple teams to determine requirements and interfaces between services
Primarily work on server side software including database interactions, but may be asked to work on client side user interface (HTML, JavaScript) in rare cases
Responsible for acceptance testing another developer's feature, just as another developer will be performing acceptance testing for this Software Developer's code changes
Part of a SCRUM team with SCRUM ceremonies and will deliver all the story validation in order to deliver the features in sprints
Requirements:
5+ years of experience developing with the following languages and libraries: Java, Spring Framework, SQL, NET, Microservices
Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
Deep understanding of the software development life cycle processes
Expertise in creating and supporting RESTful web services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills interact across all levels from junior members to senior management

Desired Skills:
Experience with some or all of the following database technologies: Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Stored procedures, Cassandra
Familiarity with modern cryptography
Familiarity with Java 8 features, like Optional and Streams
Familiarity with modern development approaches like Agile/SCRUM/Lean
Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket
Familiarity with continuous integration software like Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible Tower
Domain knowledge of banking and financial applications
Prior experience of working with globally distributed teams
Familiarity with SoapUI
Pay Range: $50.45-$58.45
