IT Technician

IT Techncian needed for our client in Houston, TX. Technician must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills and also have exposure/experience with networking. Must have 2-3 years of experience.Technician must be open to local travel as well as travel out of state if/when needed. Travel will be paid for by the client.

Job Duties/Requirements:

- Checking IP/MAC addresses

- Tracing Ports/cables/power in the IDFs/MDFs

- Communicating with departments

- Complete site mapping (maps provided, but will update locations of network equipment, closets, etc.)

- Identifying equipment in storage closets

- Keeping track of Inventory

- Assisting with consoling into wireless controllores

- Assisting with configuring wireless controlers
