About the Role

We currently have an immediate need for an Analyst to join Revenue GPS our Equities Performance – Data & Analytics practice in New York.  This role will join a highly productive global team of industry experts with a particular focus on the Institutional Equities industry. In our team-based work environment, your contributions will have meaningful impact on the business decisions made by our clients’ senior leaders and C- level management.

The Equities Performance team is responsible for analysing our proprietary quarterly industry performance revenue data, identifying insights for clients regarding overall industry trends, account level revenue opportunities, and strategic business decisions.

This position will be responsible for supporting the quarterly performance benchmark study. Working alongside senior leaders in the business, the successful candidate will contribute to creating and delivering data insights to the industry’s leading firms. In partnership with our Relationship Managers, the Analyst  will also have an opportunity to work on strategy and consulting assignments for our clients to help them improve the performance of their Institutional Equities business.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the quarterly delivery cycle by creating bespoke reports/presentations, attending client meetings, and responding to ad hoc client requests

Respond to client queries

Analyzing and visualizing data to deliver key findings and insights to clients and colleagues

Conducting research on existing and emerging trends in banking and capital markets

Supporting our sales process by tracking client engagement and setting up introductory meetings with prospective clients

Collaborating with a global team to further develop existing products/analyses, improve internal processes and overall team efficiency

Review client data submissions for accuracy and quality

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Bachelors in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, or other relevant field of study, with proven academic excellence

2-5 years’ work experience preferably in the financial services industry or with a data analytics/consulting firm

Interest in Financial Services and Capital Markets industry

Passion for using quantitative data to uncover insights and drive business performance

Strong analytical skills – adept at working with large-scale datasets

Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with excellent client service

Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

Creative problem-solving ability, comfortable working in ambiguous situations

Proactive, organized, and detail oriented; able to ensure rigor and accuracy while meeting deadlines

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience using SQL/VBA is a plus

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000 - $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
