Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is seeking an exceptional IT Program/Delivery Manager for a long-term Contractor position with one of our premier clients in lower Manhattan, NYC. He or she will need to work 2-3 days/week onsite.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex IT projects, with a strong focus on IT governance, risk assessment, and Agile methodologies. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive project success, and ensure alignment with business goals and standards.
Responsibilities :
As a Program Manager, lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects within the Portfolio of Initiatives, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks to maintain project standards, compliance, and accountability.
Assess and identify potential risks to project success, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
Utilize Agile principles and practices to drive iterative project delivery and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, delivering clear and concise communication regarding project status, risks, and milestones.
Report status on the project in line with program guidelines and timelines, and provide full transparency of the project to the stakeholders
Prepare high-quality written PowerPoint presentations and reports to communicate project progress, key metrics, and decision points.
These presentations will be used at periodic Steering Committee meetings and other senior-level IT meetings
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills :
Extensive, amazing and proven experience in IT Program and Project management and delivery, with a strong focus on IT governance.
Proven ability to assess, manage, and mitigate project risks.
Financial Services experience.
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to create concise and clear consolidated reports and visual presentations to communicate effectively to senior management and stakeholders
Strong MS PowerPoint skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and a strong team player
