Overview:
The Senior Project Scheduler is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Project Schedule. From time to time, the Senior scheduler may be required to assist with the preparation of bid schedules. The Senior Project Scheduler is required to develop the project schedule through all phases of the work, from a Level 1 schedule up to a Level 4 working schedule based on project execution and incorporation of relevant data from all internal stakeholders and subcontractors. The Senior Project Scheduler is considered the technical expert in planning/scheduling and is required to understand the relationships between: estimating, engineering, procurement, construction, progress, cost control, and risk management.

Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include:

• Establishes and leverages cross-discipline relationships within the business group to facilitate planning/scheduling.
• Provides planning/scheduling leadership on project teams.
• Actively review and thoroughly understand all aspects of the proposal or project contract.
• Develops documents, and executes the strategy for scheduling activities that support the overall proposal strategy or project.
• Develops project work plans and schedules that support the project/business milestones.
• Baselines and issues network-logic-driven schedules that meet the needs of, and are used by, the project team.
• Updates schedules with actual progress and forecast remaining durations, project milestones, and completion dates.
• Prepares schedule risk analysis and related cost impacts to support contingency management.
• Monitors earned value systems that accurately measure progress and performance.
• Creates and issues project status reports that effectively communicate schedule status and identify critical path.
• Applies practical field experience with planning/scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedules and suggest mitigation plans.
• Implements and trains on standard planning/scheduling Bernhard procedures.
• Coordinates and communicates with members of the project team to develop deliverables.
• Identifies and communicates key schedule issues to project/construction management in a timely manner to allow corrective action to be implemented.
• Supports small to medium size projects with increasing complexity.
• Develops WBS structures and fully integrated Level III EPC Schedules.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in P6 using man hour estimates and sequences provided by the functional departments.
• Determines Manpower and Resource requirements for loading in Schedule for generation of Progress Curves, Manpower Histograms and Key Quantity Curves and Quantity tracking.
• Checks data from production groups to ensure accuracy and highlight constraints and problem areas.
• Sets up report formats as required by contract/PM and provides narratives.
• Supports the set-up of the progress measurement database/system.
• Incorporates change management impacts into the schedule.
• Attends and or leads schedule related project meetings.
• Preparation of Delay, Prolongation & Acceleration Claims - Develops complex delay analysis networks / prolongation and acceleration cost calculation.
• Prepares documentation to support the invoicing process.
• Ensures adherence to Bernhard Project Controls processes and procedures.

 

 

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Director of Project Controls.

Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field.
• Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrates experience in Gantt charts, Critical Path Analysis and methodology.
• Demonstrates effective leadership in the execution of planning/scheduling activities on projects.
• Possesses excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Understands EPC/full-service project delivery processes.
• Independent, pro-active, accurate, with strong analytical and organizing skills.
• Implements and effectively use company-standard planning/scheduling systems such as Primavera.
• Experience with Accumen Fuse is a plus but not required.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Pay Range:
USD $96,250.00 - USD $(phone number removed) /Yr.
