Job Requirements / Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource
Lead a team of software engineers
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in a combination of full-stack enterprise application architecture, software development and infrastructure
Ability to interface with users and other team members, understand the requirements and convert the specifications into a robust architecture that is practical and provides a solid foundation for future development
Understand client's technology stack and ensure that architecture aligns to it
Ability to articulate trade-offs between various proposed strategies
Resource will be aligned to work-streams that develop practical solutions for Global Banking Technology and also help with developing strategies for pushing the bar on the innovation work being done by the team
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Advance knowledge of Python , with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience using python in development and managing python based enterprise application
Strong Knowledge of at least one Python web frameworks such as Flask, Django, Flask, etc.
Strong knowledge of developing REST APIs using Python
Proficiency/experience with containers (OpenShift/Kubernetes )
Direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations
Experience with Oracle/Exadata; ability to navigate and write optimized SQL queries
Understanding and usage of DevOps processes for the build and deployment
2+ years of experience working in Agile teams (Preferably Scaled Agile)
Willingness to be accountable for meeting all deliverable dates for task assignments
Knowledge of business and industry processes
Ability to mentor and guide junior developers on the team
Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
Desired skills:
CI/CD in Openshift/ Kubernetes
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with No-SQL (Elastic, Marklogic, MongoDB) etc.
Backend developer in J2EE technologies and framework like Spring, JDBC, SOAP/REST API, etc. for integration
Development experience in Big data and knowledgeable with the Hadoop stack (Scala, Spark, PySpark, Hive
