Job Requirements / Description
One of SGA’s major technology clients is looking for a Quality Assurance Testing Lead to work on a dynamic GenAI product. This individual must have a background in both manual and automated testing, the ability to read/write technical test scripts and understand functionality, and be capable of formulating testing strategies and identifying automation opportunities where possible. Any background in GenAI related testing is a huge positive but not necessarily required. This person will play a key role in working with technical and non-technical personnel to achieve an understanding of the systems' functionality and formulate appropriate manual and automated testing strategies from a functional standpoint, and then work on executing said strategies as well as helping to guilde/mentor mentor more junior testers to execute testing tasks.
Duties:
Develop and execute testing strategy for GenAI-based product, including drafting plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software meets quality standards
Perform functional, regression, performance, edge case, and usability testing to identify and report defects
Stress test product, including developing nuanced output tests to assess whether product meets responsible AI principles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure testing aligns with project objectives
Document and track defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues
Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and suggest process improvements, Maintain test environments and test data for accurate and reliable testing
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.
Duties
Skills:
Minimum of 6-9 years of experience with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and troubleshoot defects
Familiarity in testing GenAI products, including an understanding of ResponsibleAI principles and how to test products accordingly OR data science expertise in a risk domain
Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and documentation
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and communicate testing results
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
Proficiency in using testing tools and technologies, such as test management software, bug tracking systems, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., playwright or any similar tool)
Basic knowledge of programming languages and scripting to create test scripts
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong time management and organization skills

Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is typically preferred, Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), can be advantageous. Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance roles is highly desirable.
