What You'll Be Doing:
We're looking for a skilled Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist to help shape a data-driven approach that shifts the Financial Crimes function from reactive to proactive and predictive. By analyzing large sets of financial crime data, this role will help uncover trends, offer meaningful insights, and support key decision-making processes for leadership and external partners like law enforcement. Your work will be critical in enhancing the organization's ability to detect and prevent financial crimes before they occur.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop advanced analytics and intelligence solutions to identify trends and patterns in financial crime data.
Provide valuable insights to leadership, the Board, and law enforcement to improve financial crime detection and prevention strategies.
Create and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that track key performance metrics.
Work with the Financial Crimes team to ensure data is effectively used for strategic decision-making.
Utilize predictive analytics to assess financial crime risks and strengthen proactive detection efforts.
Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data used across financial crime systems.
Stay informed on new trends and technologies in financial crime analytics and suggest innovative ways to enhance organizational capabilities.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in data science, business analytics, computer science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
A minimum of 3 years' experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, ideally within financial services or financial crime prevention.
Strong proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, and business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning is a plus.
Ability to turn complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn and work with the Bank's software systems.
