Location: Hybrid/3 days onsite in Richmond, VA.. so candidates should be within commuting distance
Term: 6 months.. likely extensions or conversation to PERM
Visa: USC only please
Rate: C2C pay candidate $55-60/hr.
IT Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
Analyze and solve business problems using technical solutions
Collect, analyze, and document user and functional requirements in an IT environment
Understand the business and system processes as they relate to a project or initiative's goals
Define and document user requirements to include requirements elicitation techniques such as stakeholder analysis, acceptance criteria, and effort estimation
Analyze and document system requirements with Use Case Modeling, User Stories, Story Mapping, or other compliant techniques
Work alongside of all levels of technical staff and bring business knowledge to projects, while acting as a liaison between the business partners and the technical staff
Work closely with cross-functional agile project teams and help drive projects across the design, development, and testing
Maintain a high level of communication between business partners and development teams
Communicate requirements and solutions orally in meetings and presentations with key users
Ability to participate and/or facilitate daily SCRUMs with technical teams, participate in daily standups, and retrospectives
Ensure enhancements and defects are implemented as specified
Work within the defect management system
Drive required Agile development practices, as well as various SDLC methodologies, identify improvement opportunities, and help execute change
Work on multiple projects at once, reevaluating priorities and deadline
Enhance existing position though organizational effectiveness, implementing best practices, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
5 to 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst working directly with Business Sponsors and Business Users gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements.
Experience working as a Business Analyst in both Agile and SDLC environments
Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint, and Project).
Knowledge of SQL or other query languages and tools (or willingness to learn)
Experience working with software development/defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar products
