Job Description:
Experienced and detail-oriented Software Tester Contractor with a proven track record in identifying and resolving software defects. Specializes in developing comprehensive test plans, executing manual and automated tests.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Software Tester Contractor with 3-6 years of experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, and will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the enhancement of our software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. Conduct manual and automated testing across various software applications and platforms.
Identify, document, and track defects and issues using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment on testing objectives.
Perform regression testing to verify that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
Analyze test results, provide feedback, and suggest improvements for software quality and performance.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development process.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber) is a plus.
Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automated test scripts is a plus.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
