Samsung SDS America is looking for an SAP MM Consultant to join our collaborative team that maintains the SAP implementation used for company administrative business functions and tasks. You will be working with front office departments, meeting with them to solve their questions and needs. This full-time position supports SAP and in-house developed applications that satisfy business and operations requirements at one of the largest semiconductor manufacturing facilities in North America.
Job responsibilities include support of Purchasing / Inventory Management on day-to-day SAP or in-house system activities, support of Shipping / Receiving and Engineering with their GR and other SAP activities, support of Accounting on any MM / Purchasing questions / issues, and maintenance of any master data (material / vendor) in SAP. This role will also monitor the data interface between SAP and legacy systems.

The team is working on a hybrid schedule in our office based in Austin, TX. This role is expected to work from office at least 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:
System Configuration: Configure SAP MM modules to meet business requirements, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics processes.
Process Optimization: Analyze business processes and provide recommendations for improvements and efficiencies using SAP MM functionalities.
Support and Troubleshooting: Provide day-to-day support for SAP MM users, including troubleshooting issues, resolving system errors, and providing guidance on best practices.
End User Support: Support end users on any SAP MM, master data, and in-house system-related issues.
Data Interface Management: Maintain and monitor data interfaces between SAP and legacy systems.
Project Management: Manage new projects, follow up on schedules, and participate in SAP MM-related projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
Month-End Closing: Work on month-end closing activities and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Collaboration: Work with headquarters on issues that cannot be resolved locally and collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.
Documentation: Work on various types of documentation, including training materials and process documentation.
Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users and create comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Integration: Work closely with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP SD, SAP FI/CO) to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across the organization.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements in all SAP MM-related activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MM module, including configuration, implementation, and support.
3+ years of experience with SAP ABAP programming language.
2+ years of experience in project management.
Proficiency in SAP MM module configuration and customization.
Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able and willing to commute to the office in Austin, TX 4 days per week
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
