Title: DevOps Support Engineer

Location: Stamford, CT (Hybrid)

Duration: Direct-Hire

Compensation: $120k - $170k Plus Bonus

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Day-to-Day: You'll manage technical onboarding/offboarding, provide desktop support, and ensure system consistency. You'll oversee AWS infrastructure, SOC2 compliance, and disaster recovery planning. Additionally, you'll optimize deployment pipelines and maintain infrastructure as code best practices.

Desktop Support:

Technical onboarding of new employees

Coordinate acquisition of new PCs

Setting up new accounts

Provisioning PC

New PC setup (including account creation and licenses)

Support of current employees

Password resets

Admin access request fulfilment (e.g. installing new software as an admin)

Technical offboarding of old employees

Disabling access

Clearing / cleaning PCs

Regular updates and ad-hoc infrastructure changes

Windows 11 upgrade

Windows updates

Ensure consistency across machines (same settings / etc.)

Ensure desktop / domain consistency and policies

VDI exploration

Environment:

Responsible for best practices and AWS Infrastructure

Management of new AWS Accounts

Migration to AWS control tower

Analyze current state of infrastructure and suggest improvements

Responsible for infrastructure as code base components

Responsible for getting us to one AWS account per logical environment

Initial setup and configuration for common infrastructure (e.g. Redis, SQL Server)

SOC2

Responsible for Vanta compliance and vulnerability remediation

Responsible for disaster recovery planning and coordination

Responsible for pen-test coordination

Development / deployment

Best practices and SOPs for code build and deployment pipeline

Best practices and SOPs for deployment of custom functions

Build tools / templates for creating lambdas, Fargate services, etc.
