Job Requirements / Description
A Day In The Life
• Programs CNC equipment, primarily Shop Sabre machines, from 3D models and drawings.
• Select the most efficient tooling and method of machining for various metals
• Improve existing programs to increase efficiency
• Run G code programs
• Prepare and program CNC machines with setup sheets
• Create, run, edit, and/or improve existing programs
• set up machines and run initial programs
• Procure tooling necessary for jobs
• Calculate speeds and feeds according to the material
• Design and machine custom tooling and fixtures
• Perform first article inspection
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together accurately
• Work alone or in a team environment
• Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to efficiently support the manufacturing operation.

What will help you thrive in this role?
• Associate of Applied Science in CNC Manufacturing Technician equivalent education/experience
• Minimum of 3 years process engineering experience in working with CNC machines
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Superior working knowledge of job specifications for CNC Programs and CNC Machines
• Proficient working knowledge of all aspects of Mastercam processes, composition, and characteristics of plastics
• Good Understanding of various machining techniques including milling, turning, and drilling as well as machine tool capabilities
• Ability to create accurate computer-generated 3D models and drawings for all new Fixtures, Parts, and Assemblies using 3D Modelling Software - SolidWorks required
• Regular good attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to Run G code programs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
Ability to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time

Education
• GED or Higher or 5-10 years of experience in CNC programming
