CTG is seeking to fill a Project Analyst opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months
*We are looking for an Analyst skilled in report preparation for multiple audiences using Excel and PowerPoint. Gathering and aggregating information from several sources and strong communication skills.
Overview:
On a project basis, the Project Analyst will plan and participate in gathering and analyzing information to define project scope, business requirements, process definition, training, testing, and other documentation to support project delivery. The role involves performing routine to complex analysis and research in alignment with business goals and strategies. The Project Analyst will also define and implement modifications to solve problems and assist in day-to-day project support.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the planning and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and initiatives to achieve short and long-term business objectives and strategic outcomes.
Assist in the development of project roadmaps and plans.
Address problems, solutions, risks, and issues of various scopes and sizes; analyze information, determine feasible solutions, and articulate recommendations to the project team.
Maintain an understanding of the areas affected by the project, including their functions, processes, and operations.
Coordinate small to medium-sized efforts, managing activities and tasks across team and departmental boundaries.
Support the development of communication plans, test plans, change management plans, and training plans to facilitate the implementation and adoption of project deliverables.
Adhere to all current standards and procedures, ensuring that all efforts are properly documented; suggest enhancements to procedures and standards as necessary.
Comply with applicable operational risk controls in accordance with company or regulatory standards and policies.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Mentor junior team members.
Education and Experience Required:
Proficiency in report preparation for diverse audiences using Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in gathering and aggregating information from multiple sources.
Strong communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years of proven relevant work experience or equivalent training.
Minimum of one year of proven project management experience (project role may vary).
Education and Experience Preferred:
Previous experience in a project analyst role or similar capacity is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
