Technical Support Analyst
Core Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Onsite Location: Bloomfield, CT
Duties:
Contributes to the IT Support job family in a support role. Provides guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow-up on client questions, issues, or malfunctions related to systems, hardware, and software managed by IT. Responds to telephone inquiries regarding support, processing requests, system status, network connectivity, and a variety of hardware and software problems for installed IT-supported products. Records inquiries, repairs, and service requests, resolves or directs them to the appropriate technical area or vendor, tracks progress and follows up to ensure client satisfaction. Escalates complex issues or consults senior staff when necessary. Reports procedural issues and suggests improvements. Completes tasks (documents, analyses, products) within specified deadlines and quality standards. Works independently, prioritizes tasks, and meets agreed-upon timelines. Work is subject to frequent review by senior IT Customer Support professionals.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of:
Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office
Networking switches and data networks
IP telecommunications systems
Ability to analyze problems and use sound judgment to determine solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers and IT staff
Minimum of 1 year of PC/LAN technical or equivalent experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written
Self-motivated, team player, empathetic, innovative, and works with integrity
Willingness to enhance technical skills through continued education, seminars, and collaboration with other IT disciplines
Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience in technology, hospitality, retail, or other customer-focused fields highly regarded
A+ certification or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
