Overview:
We are seeking a full-time User Interface Production Artist in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual graphics for Garmin products.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Prepare final software-ready image files based on supplied specifications for several types of product lines
Collaborate with user interface designers/software engineers to make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and assist in resolution of artwork issues during production process
Follow established processes/guidelines to ensure tasks are being completed on time
Able to manage multiple basic projects in parallel from start to finish
Remain current on traditional graphics design skills and stay current on new graphics design tools and techniques
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communication OR High School Diploma AND a minimum of 3 years experience in a related field
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
Proficient understanding of imaging formats, screen technology, quality control, and asset output
Proficient using Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficient organizational/time management skills with keen attention to detail/ quality
Desired Qualifications
Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Blender, Microsoft Office
Experience in Visual Communications or Graphic Design
